A side project of Normans. I was going to paint up an opposing force of Saxons but I think I'll just knock out a ton and let them scrap each other. Luckily, I found a local player who had collected 28mm armies for Warhammer Ancient Battles and is now going to be playing Clash of Empires and was looking for opponents. That's where I come in.
I'm waiting on delivery of some sort of dark earth coloured gritty paste from Vallejo for the bases. My old way of basing involved too many steps and I like to throw money at my problems until they go away. Hence, the Vallejo stuff.
For kicks, here's a shot of my workbench. I don't like to mix paint and as that is a problem for me, see above. Do I have more paint than I need? Probably. Am I a paint junkie? Most likely. Do I ask and answer my own questions? Often times.

The Dwarves Are Done
I had a good time painting these boys up. From the first I loved their look and style. Proper dwarves, no doubt. Here's the best pic I could snap of them...
My next main project will be some hairy fellows from Germania. A couple of weeks ago, I snagged a great deal from Northstar for a 'Clash of Empires' ready-made Ancient German force made up of Crusader Miniatures at almost 50% off and am eagerly awaiting them in the mail.
While looking around for pics of Ancient Germans I found this fantastic work. They were painted by Zerotwentythree and will serve as my inspiration. I think those dark colours and body paint will look great on 150+ hairy barbarians when they take the field.
