Anglo-Danes for SAGA

Six points of Anglo-Danes. I've got some levy archers and slingers on the go for some ranged punch as an option. All that's left for these guys is their tufts on the way to me in the mail. Unfortunately, the finishing touches will have to wait as I'm going back 'up north', as we say here, for another glorious 16-week stretch in the oilpatch.

See ya in the spring!

Viking Warband is done.

Trying to get a decent group shot together. Until then...

First up is the Warlord and his standard-bearer.

I forgot about the option of Berserkers for a Viking warband so I knocked out three of these guys this weekend. The loincloth guy I had painted earlier. Amazing what can be accomplished when I give Battlefield 3 a rest.

*Edit* The gang's all here.

SAGA Vikings

My Viking warband is just about complete. The Warlord and his standard bearer remain to be finished up.

More Vikings

Here is the command base for my Viking army. The unfortunate Jarl was not blessed with sons but luckily daddy's little girls grew up to be man-killers.

These are the latest additions to my Viking skirmish gaming force. I'm looking forward to the upcoming Saga ruleset for some good times.

Ancient Germans

Here are the first two units based 120mm wide for both Impetus and Hail Caesar. I may add some tufts to them when they arrive in my mailbox but at the moment I'm enjoying the simplicity of the basing.

15mm Hail Caesar - First Game

Had a go with a couple of buddies. We used all my 15mm Romans and Gauls based for Impetus as well as my buddies' DBA based troops and it worked out fine. My camera's charge ran out so I couldn't snap pics of the end but much slaughter was done and it was not to be Rome's day after all.

Workbench Update #2

Here are the first 28mm horses I've ever painted. Nice looking figs from eBob Miniatures that come with my Germanic cavalry from Crusader Miniatures. They came out alright but I wouldn't want to crank out a horsey army, of that I have no doubt. Luckily, I have only six more to paint.

Work continues on my Ancient Germans...
