Workbench Update #2

Here are the first 28mm horses I've ever painted. Nice looking figs from eBob Miniatures that come with my Germanic cavalry from Crusader Miniatures. They came out alright but I wouldn't want to crank out a horsey army, of that I have no doubt. Luckily, I have only six more to paint.

Work continues on my Ancient Germans...

  1. These horses look great!

What paints did you use? I'm currently in the process of trying to find about 8 triads that I will use on most of my projects. A lot of testing so far and not much for results.

  2. Thanks. The centre horse is Flat Earth and the others are Flat Brown. Both Vallejo colours.

After the base coat they were hit with a dark brown wash and because I couldn't find an easy-peasy triad I had to mix paint for the highlights.
